Ahh, yes. Who could forget about all that pulling force the crank puts on a rod as the piston is being yanked back down through the cylinder.

Amazing these things don't stretch under that extreme force

Well, of course...
Its not the 2000+ psi of cylinder pressure that destroys rods...
It's the weight of the piston reciprocating...

Yeah he just made a video on how he used a tap and die set to install them in the glow plug hole.
