Old Injectors

My truck has 300,001 miles. I put on a new lift pump on as the old one died this past weekend. I also put on a FASS system. It seems that my fuel milage is down a little bit not sure how much yet. Also idle is rougher than before new pump. Is it time for new injectors?

Re: Old Injectors

You have a fuel pressure gauge? If the inj's are original I would think they have served there purpose.

Re: Old Injectors

300k is getting up there. . .not saying that's the cause, but it's a good possibility.

Re: Old Injectors

I have tore down a set with 220K on them that were perfect. And verified original by the owner. And i have taken down a few sets in the 70-80K range that were on there way out. It is all a matter of servicing these engines.

Re: Old Injectors

If you do take them out it should be fun removing the glow plugs if they are original too
