Turbo Question?

I ma planning to make 350 to 400 RWHP in my 02 F250 one day, and I want your opinion on this unit that is sold on E-bay??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...n%3D3%26ps%3D5

Is there a better unit for the Money? Ron can take my unit and rebuilt it to those specs for a little over $1000.

Re: Turbo Question?

I dont know anything about what turbo will support what HP......

But I do know that buying a Garrett 38R would probably be a better move than buying that,

Re: Turbo Question?

Kinda looks like a "ball buster" or a journal bearing TN, i wouldn't get it. a few hundred more will get you a Garrett Ball bearing

Re: Turbo Question?

That is just a modded stocker with housings and an OBS wheel. Call up David Lott at Diesel Innovations and have him set you up with a GTP38R for a few bucks more.

Yep, according to the description, it's a stock turbo with an ATS compressor housing, 1.0 A/R turbine housing and a Wicked Wheel on it. What's funny is the wheel is absolutely not needed with the other additions to the turbo. All it adds is extra sound. You could do the same mods to your current turbo for half the price.
