I just bought my 6637 air filter and outerwear pre filter. I called up my local auto parts stores to try and source a piece of 4inch exhaust tubing. This seems to be a bit harder to find than I thought. Nobody has just 4 inch od exhaust tubing laying around. Everybody has 4 inch id couplers.

Where have you guys found some tubing?

I went to the local NAPA and they said they could order it but the shortest piece they could get is 8 inches and it would cost 20 bucks. I thought that to be excessive so hopefully you guys can give me some direction!

Do you know anyone with exhaust on their trucks? They come with enough for a cclb so if the configuration is shorter they'll have some left over

just google that its a walker part number for 4in piece of pipe with 45* bend

Until you find a short piece of 4" tubing, you can use a 3 1/2" PVC connectir from the hardware store, The ID is a little smaller but it is a work around you can use. (That connector is 4" OD, same as the exhaust tubing)

I bought a chunk of 4 in tubing at my local NAPA. they sell in foot lengths for around $6.50

Checked with the local NAPA and the smallest section they would sell me was 18 inches for 30 bucks. Went down the road to the Tuffy were I take my fire departments vehicles for service and he hooked me up with a 5 inch piece for FREE. Can't beat that deal.

Anyway I got my filter in the mail from Fleetfilter today and did the install. I snapped a couple pics.

A piece of intercooler piping off a tractor trailer truck will work well also. If you have any junk yards around.

Some of the big chain dept stores have 4" conduit. Not sure on the price tho. I found the piece I needed for the filter install at the local muffler shop. Got a foot long piece for $5 from the scrap pile

First order of business.......give her some air!

Look on eBay for 4" intake pipe. I bought a 5" long aluminum intake pipe and it has the ribbed ends like an intercooler pipe. Was only like $14 shipped if I remember right.
I did use the 3.5" pvc for a bit. Used a die grinder and rounded the inlet edge for smoother flow.
