got my new 7.3 together
well took a few pics of my new engine i just finished assembeling, i got it in the truck today ill have it running tomarrow! finnaly pretty much the thing is stock other than the forged rods and the mahle .040 over pistons. i like the cummins beige/ford blue combo as far as engine color!

Php hydra chip PHP tuned! 4" exhaust, stock turbo(ww2, turbomaster wastage actuator, gutted ebpv), FRX, 160/30 sticks SB 1939-CB single clutch, home brew water setup for when i'm pulling hay through the mountains.

looks pretty good...looks to be a little coarse on the machine work on the block deck surfaces...but it should be fine for stock gaskets.
nice color on the block, but is the oil pan cream colored or is it the lighting?

Yep, looks like the Cummins puke color to me!

yeah i was gonna do the ford blue with black but i cant see oil leaks very good on black so i just sprayed it with cummins paint i had. now that its all together and in the truck it looks nice. ill take a picture tomorrow of the thing in the truck, i painted the heads cummins color and the valve covers blue looks sharp, i also polished all the aluminum i could like the hpop and the hpop resivoir up front and the intake side of the turbo. looks like some kind of show engine, realy i just had a lot of spare time when i was waitning on the machine shop to get done with my block.

well its all back in the truck and im drivin it around, put 100 miles on it earlier, with all the assesories and all the intercooler pipes and stuff you cant even see the engine, all you can realy see is a little bit of the blue valve covers, oh well at least i know how pretty it is under all that junk, by the way it runs great, just hard to start.

Is it hard to start after driving the 100 or so miles or when you first fired it back up? I could see why it was the first time.

yeah it wasa just hard to start the first time(very hard, now it fires right up, for a while it had a delay mabey 3 or 4 seconds now it fires imediatly, ran it a little more , i dont have a trailer to hook up to it to break it in but ive been puttin the pedal down a lot up hills and such.
