Water meth and oil change intervals

Has anyone with running water meth on their trucks has any sort of oil analysis performed. I wanted to know a safe interval for oil changes running water meth. Will it be the same? The analysis will tell the real truth.

Re: Water meth and oil change intervals

I change every 3k on my odo. Its a bit off due to my tires but the oil seems fine when I dump it. No analysis performed I'd also like to hear from someone who did heres a bump.

Re: Water meth and oil change intervals

I consulted with Blackstones and ANA Labertories today. Both said they have seen NO reason to modify engine oil change intervals, due to running water meth. One guy said the wear material in the oil go up a little bit but nothing to really worry about. Change the engine oil like you normally would. This is great news.

Re: Water meth and oil change intervals

Thats kinda what I figured. Unless your running an obscene amount of water/meth I dont see why it would be a issue. I still do every 3k on my odo mobil delvac. Im running a 300 psi coolingmist pump with a single 750 cfm nozzle.
