I have a lift from Xtreme Off Road in Georgia. Idk if they sell crappy lift kits or the owner flubbed the install, but the lift kit was sold as a 6" all around lift. However, the front leafs are 6" but the back leafs are factory w/helper spring and 2 blocks stacked on top each other. Definitely bad juju. Figured screw it, I'll get a REAL lift where I get 4 lift springs vs 2 and an assortment of blocks. Problem is, Im looking to go 8 inches and nobody sells the kits other than 4 wheel parts,(at least not anyone else that I could find) and I know good n well leaf lift springs dont cost near $390 apiece for 8" lift. Anyone got any leads to a company that sells an 8 inch lift leaf kit with shocks for less than $1700? Maybe know someone that has a used kit in good condition willing to strike a deal? Anything 6" or HIGHER. I know for a fact with that price, 50% of it is the 4 wheel parts logo.
I work with people entrusted to maintain and repair $110 million airplanes, but can't change a car battery.
Actually when you go over a 4 inch lift and want 4 new springs( not adding a stack0 in the rear, kits get pretty pricey. That sounds like average to me for that kit. the add a block in the rear is the cheaper route though. They're are lots of vendors on here that can hook you up though.
