intercooler question

i know this is a dumb question and all but.. what material are the pipes for the intercooler made out of?and what size are they??

Depends on the truck. Some are aluminum and some are steel. I believe they're all 3 inch pipes but I could be wrong.

3" steel, for all superdutys other then the early 99's. The early 99's were Aluminum, but they would wear thru where things rubbed on them.

I believe the 6.0 coolers have plastic caps on them... if you're looking at those (considering you have an OBS so no factory cooler)

84 Honda Sabre V65 1100: pipes, jet kit and new tires. Faster than I think I'll ever need.

Plastic is holding fine at 50 psi now, I am not worried.
