Ebc brakes are the worst

So I put on new ford rotors and a set of green stuff pads and they felt awesome. I have had them on for a month just driving around town. Well today I hooked on the fifth wheel and thought I would give it a shot. Came down a hill and by the time I got to the bottom they were fadding and stunk like they were on fire. So I took them off. Just wondering if anyone else is running these pos pads??
Thanks

Yes. Had none of this with my old parts store pads that lasted for the last 6 years. And never reacted or smelt that bad.

Re: Ebc brakes are the worst

If that is the first time you warmed them up it could be normal for them to stink and fade the first time. Some performance pads and rotors come with break in or burnish instructions for "green" parts to avoid this when in actual use.

Re: Ebc brakes are the worst

Update.
Asked the PSN sponsor that I got the brake pads from and all he said is towing heavy is hard on brakes and I should get better rotors or an exhaust brake. I will NEVER buy from this sponser again. I asked him for his advice on brake pads and he recommended those ####ty pads. People want to know the truth about products this is the truth.
NEVER!!!

Re: Ebc brakes are the worst

interesting. tempting to ask more ...on this
but they sold you the wrong set . according to ebc selection chart......
Truck, 4x4 and SUV modest brake upgrade with lowest dust. Greenstuff 7000 Series
Truck, 4x4 and SUV maximum stopping for towing and loads etc. Yellowstuff

I am sure for a show truck that has never even seen a hitch the greens may be a good choice.

Re: Ebc brakes are the worst

You got the brakes from me and you wanted Green stuff and your keeping the stock rotors. You said others on the forums have recommended Greenstuff. I called my supplier and asked which pads for your application and they said use 7000's.

Maybe I should have pushed you to another product but since I have no experience selling Greenstuff and like you have read reports from happy users I had no reason to do that.

I'll gladly refund your $ for the pads.

We only carry the BEST parts and never compromise just to get a sale.

Dealer for: Full Force, Tymar, BTS, Icon, Pure Performance, TW tunes, just to name a few.

I believe this. I bought pads and rotors from Cary, I wanted the Greenstuff's, and asked Cary what he thought about them. He said he couldn't give me any feedback as he's never run them and hadn't had any customers give him feedback either. In fact, he recommended Hawk pads.
