Fluid damper vs ATI

I want to get a new damper but cant decide which one is better for the diesel motor. After reading on both sites they say theirs is better then the other, and that the ATI is better for high RPMs but diesels run low RPMs so can anyone point me in the right direction in this damper battle?

Re: Fluid damper vs ATI

there was a few posts back a couple of months..
if i am not mistaken there was some info from empire that shed some more light on the ATI...fluiddamper is more common possibly because of lots of ads
iirc they have slighly different materials.

Re: Fluid damper vs ATI

Personally, I prefer the ATI. Plus they are a lot lighter than a fluidamper.

Re: Fluid damper vs ATI

you will need a 212+ ftlb tq wrench and breaking the old oe will take some effort.

Re: Fluid damper vs ATI

My opinion, a Fluidampr is something a guy can buy, go under his truck and install it in his driveway. The ATI is more suited to someone who is building a performance engine, and can have the damper professionally honed and balanced to the rotating assembly.

Re: Fluid damper vs ATI

If you have air tools they are really easy to install. Give Stroketech a call up at PDR. He can set you up!
