Re: fs-2500...

I would highly recommend it! We have installed a few, and the oil is so much cleaner now! Black soot in your oil is a thing of the past...

It will allow you to extend your service drain intervals in most cases...

If the truck is highly modified ( Hybrid injectors, oil pumps, expensive turbo's, etc...) I would still recommend it, but I would keep our drain intervals at 5000 miles anyway. The soot content still seems to be high in those cases...

Re: fs-2500...

it's a bypass oil filtering system, right?

Re: fs-2500...

heard good things about it..
there are a few good alternatives out there..haulin horses runs an oil guard iirc and liked it, there is one type of amsoil that is good (the old one is bad)biggest problem with the fs system is payng for all the ads..they are $$$

might wanna price filters etc..they can range from a toilet paper roll to 50+$

Re: fs-2500...

I've got the Oilguard system on my truck for piece of mind with running bigger injectors. It definitely takes longer for the oil to get completely black with the Oilguard helping out. They are having a 15% off sale right now, might look into it.

Re: fs-2500...

I am not sure of any site sponsors with the fs
there is always fs2500 dot com

there was one guy on here with a frants he liked it ..pretty much the only system that had a bad rep was the early amsoil.

Re: fs-2500...

I inquired about this oil filter , on e of the salesman called me yesterday. I am not saying they are not a good investment but, they cost 600 bucks.
I still do not know the pros and cons of the Frantz but it would defintely fit my budget better. Everbody knows Ima wedgeass;
