Small fuel leak

I have had the truck roughly 5 months and it was leaking a little fuel when I got if so I had the fuel bowl gasket(s) changed that were leaking, not a full rebuild. It quit for a month or two but has now started leaking again. My main question is will it damage anything to run it as is till Monday? I am heading camping and don't have time to get it fixed. Will be towing roughly 7000 pounds. I will then get it looked at Monday. Thanks in advance.

Re: Small fuel leak

Worst case scenario fuel sprays on the turbo and the whole truck goes up in flames but you got insurance

Re: Small fuel leak

It's liability but I will bump it to full coverage. How about that?

A small leak could become a BIG leak at any moment. It will happen at the worst possible moment too, like when you are in the middle of nowhere!

Re: Small fuel leak

If the fuel drain is your problem My fuel drain was leaking and I put new o-rings on it but the body was warped and still leaked so I just got a whole new drain at the ford dealer for $60.00 and it comes with all the o-rings and everything needed to put it on. All done in one shot and hasnt leaked since. Took 20 minutes to change on a hot engine prob 10 if its cool.

Re: Small fuel leak

Well I got lucky I guess. Used 1/4 tank traveling 80 miles and didn't see excessive EGT's or anything. First time towing with new chip and it did well. Transmission temps hit 208 or so on big passes with outside temps at 100 then she cooled down. Going to get a tru cool trans cooler or 6.0 cooler just for safety. Used the 65 tow tune and was happy with it. Shifted out of od a little more than I thought it would but it struggled to tell if I wanted just a little throttle or medium throttle. Overall happy with it and it held third up the big passes.
