Purchased Turbomaster Wastegate Controller

I hear these are pretty great. My unplugged stock actuator has about 25k on it now and seems it doesnt want to hold boost as well...
How does everyone like their Turbomaster Controllers? Any advice for the install? Id like to do it on the truck.

Re: Purchased Turbomaster Wastegate Controller

Make sure the big pin is inserted properly on the turbo, then crank it all the way shut and see where your boost is. You can back it off from there to dump at a specific boost load, I've seen them set to hold 25 lbs and they work great, I've also seen them cranked shut and left although we couldn't tell the boost load, maxed out a 30lb gauge before he ran out of pedal.I can say you can tell the difference on a chipped truck better. A PHP 140 tune and a turbo master will make a stock truck just nasty. On the install make sure you tie some floss or something similar onto the clip or else your gonna drop it and you will probably never find it.

Re: Purchased Turbomaster Wastegate Controller

thats pimp. my truck will snag 30-32 psi at lock up WOT but wont push above 30. I think the stock wastegate contorller is wearing out. I have been running it unplugged for a long time. Tired of wasting boost and power on the stock wastegate controller.
