Are all track bar bushings the same?

I just bought a 2003 7.3L and it has an after market track bar. At least I think it is because its a split track bar and not solid that I believe came stock on those trucks. Anyway, the bushings are toast. Can I order new bushings from energy suspension and replace the bushings with ones that were meant to fit a stock track bar?

Thanks for all your help!

Re: Are all track bar bushings the same?

id look up the dementions on the stock bushings and compare them to yours first or search the web to find out the correct aftermarket bar you have and contact them (if you dont know who made the bar). I usually look for pics that are identical to my aftermarket parts to find out who made it.

Re: Are all track bar bushings the same?

:WHS: many companies use oe sized bushings to reduce manufacturing costs but not all so take measurements of the bar and a new bushing and see. you can also find a bushing with the correct bolt size but with a larger bushing and turn it down to fit yours on a lathe or with a drill press if you dont have access to a lathe. if you dont want to worry about bushings again and have some fab skills you can cut the old ends off and fab it up to accept heim joints.
