Who keeps a spare block on deck?

Been considering looking around for a decent block as backup in case mine decides to grenade. Anyone else do this? Was also considering just having one built as a future project.

I have a spare block, and will soon start building it up. Its my old PMR block, but the PMR's are going to go away! Then I will pull this motor and rebuild it.

Re: Who keeps a spare block on deck?

I keep a spare short block on hand. Have a set of heads I can throw on it too if need be. I do because my F550 is my money maker, so if it goes down I go down.

I really outta just build a complete engine and have one ready to drop in.
