Edge tuner questions

Hey guys, I have a 2000 7.3 240K miles. auto trans. runs and drives great.

Anyway, the truck has a Edge tuner, I believe they call it a juice with attitude. has the little display screen with egt, boost, rpm, backdown on it. it has 0-5 settings and when I got the truck it also had the Edge programmer for the OBD port in the glove box. My question now is on which setting have you Edge owners seen the best fuel mileage on? The truck gets about 17 on the first setting "mileage" but I've been hearing that this tuners get better mileage on the higher settings as long as you stay out of the gas, which is how I drive the truck. So I guess im trying to see if anyone has these tuners and stacks them and what kind of results you're getting. the plugin tuner has a tow mod and a race/extreme mode.

Thanks,

Re: Edge tuner questions

Throw the juice away, they are super super hard on transmissions

Re: Edge tuner questions

I guess that answers my hard shifts question then huh? Haha. I can leave it in on the stock setting to get my egt and boost readings though right Without any issues?

Re: Edge tuner questions

I don't believe Bill can do anything with the Juice units. Keep the Edge monitor for gauges and buy a Hydra Chip.

Re: Edge tuner questions

Thanks guys, yeah php said they can't work with these older units. So ill probably just buy a chip from them and keep the gauges on the juice.
