AERO HEADLAMPS

Has anyone changed headlamps on a Superduty truck from the regular headlamps to the Clear Aero type lights. What all do you need to do this and how do you change the wiring connectors? Any help would be greatly appreciated. 2001 F250

Re: AERO HEADLAMPS

02 - 04 have two piece clear headlights.. direct fit into your 2001.. 05 - 07 have one piece headlights... To install these you either need to cut your header panel or replace it.

The headlights in the pic below are 05 - 07's they will fit in your 2001 if you cut the header panel.

Rockrunner is this hard to do. How do you cut it and how about wiring for the different bulbs

Re: AERO HEADLAMPS

There is some write ups online about how to cut the header panel. I don't know where to locate them. Maybe someone else will chime in. I didn't worry about the wiring. I am just going to direct wired the Hid's I install so they don't use the wiring plug.. If you had your headlight removed and the 05 lights in hand you would see what needs to be removed.. Its pretty simple. I think all the cutting took about 10 minutes for the first light. I used a grinder with a cut off wheel for most of it. But anything that would cut fiberglass would get the job done.

Re: AERO HEADLAMPS

Only difference between the lights is if they have a chrome back bround or black..
