stock or stage 1??

hey guys I'm trying to decide if i want stock or stage 1 injectors. truck is bone stock right now.. what i wanted to do in the next month or so is a new intake and 4 inch exhaust. i will do that no matter what injectors are in it. i also have a 6 position chip. i don't have gauges and really can't afford them right now with the other things I'm doing. so this leaves me is it ok to have stage 1s and just keep it on stock or a low setting or should i just get stock sticks for it? its my dd and i don't really tow with it. i just want something that will run and idle smooth

Re: stock or stage 1??

you can go either way, as soon as I find time im going to do 155/30s so I dont have to get too crazy with the rest of my parts. do a lil research and decide how far you want to go with your truck.

You have a 6.0 so why are you postin here, to the op get the 160's. They use less oil than the ad's but the idle won't be as good as stock.

Re: stock or stage 1??

ok cause the reason i sent them in is there was a shudder/ vibration at 1400-1600 rpm so i think its the oil side. i heard the stage 1s are better on the oil so didn't know if that could help or not.. thinking about a gear head tune.. with that it should idle alright shouldn't.. would you say just a little rougher ?
thanks guys.. i know if i drive it without gauges i just gonna keep it on low settings or stock setting.. should i be ok then until i get them?

there starting to get old, this is number 3 in 5 1/2 years. I need a break before the younguns forget who their daddy is. as far as the injectors go id say grab the stage 1s and do a mild build (lil more fuel, lil more air) and ride.
