Will the Edge evo work?

I have any Edge Evo. that i was going to sell to a buddy of mine, I was wondering if it will work on his truck? His is a 01 with a 6 speed trans. Mine is a 00 with a auto.

Yep, it'll work unless it's had custom tunes put on it...they're generic off the shelf tunes from Edge so if they haven't been changed you're fine.

The EVO is kinda fun on the 01 six speed. Not the best, but fun.

Right on that is what i needed to know thanks. So with that out of the way what is the best chip for the 7.3? I was going to go with a TS but then heard to go different. I will be adding injectors and a turbo down the road so i have that to keep in mind. Let me know what you think.

Farm boy said go with the Gearhead Performance one. That is what I was leaning towards.

Diesel innovations (david lott), DP tuner, Tony Wildman, gearhead (matt) all should be good custom tunes. I have only had DP Tuner for my custom tunes and love it!
