What is a good drop in turbo?

Looking to upgrade my stock turbo. Looking to just drop one in, I really don't want to change the flange.

The only mods I have is 4 inch turbo back and a TS 6 position.

Re: What is a good drop in turbo?

Bruce, trying to make myself a little more content with my situation so let me bounce this off you.
Found a 38r compressor housing for 125$ and compressor wheel for 95$. So thinking bout getting a 1.15 van turbine housing and wheel and making my own sd66.
Will I be happier with that than with just my ww2 and 1.0 housing?

Re: What is a good drop in turbo?

Well with the 38r is supposed to flow 33% more air so yeah I think you'll like it more. The van turbine wheel and sd turbine wheel aren't the same though so you'll need to figure that out

Re: What is a good drop in turbo?

Well if I can find a van turbo for a decent price I'll have both covered. SD 38 and 38r have the same turbine right? And a tp38 and van 38 have the same?
