Fuel sump question?

Do they make a fuel sump kit that will run the fuel line directly to the stock fuel pump?Without having to run into a pre-filter,Air dog or Fass.Or can you just tee into the stock fuel line? Please enlighten me.Im having 1/4 tank issues bad and I wanna go that route,if I can.

Re: Fuel sump question?

Pumps are expensive, pre pump filtration is not. Most have a -8 or -10 fittin so just go get some parker push lock fittings and I'm sure you can rig it to a stock pump

Re: Fuel sump question?

there is no reason you can't sump an OEM pump IMHO

but as mentioned u loose your screen so your pump is vulnerable

also think about a inline shut off valve for service work

there is also no real reason you can't fix your stock pick up and solve your 1/4 tank issue

I kicked around a sump... I kicked it to the curb.

Running a 5/8" pick up now and love it... Hope to be able to share one of these days...

Re: Fuel sump question?

I'm gonna run a sump and build my own pre filter kit.Just gotta round up the parts to build it.I'll probably use Beans sump kit.

Re: Fuel sump question?

All you need is a Baldwin filter head thats like $50. You can buy a sump kit for only about 35 40 dollars more than what its going to cost you to buy all the parts. And you're still going to have to pay shipping fees or drive around a pic of all of them up.

Re: Fuel sump question?

They sell filter heads all day long on eBay for cheap and I'm not gonna use a Baldwin filter.Parts are cheap at the local auto parts store minus the sump.

Re: Fuel sump question?

Hang off on cutting a hole in the bottom of your tank... Seriously. Just wait a month or two...

You will thank me later.

Re: Fuel sump question?

And why wouldn't you use Baldwin filter heads? 90% of diy guys use them as well as many kits. Snd they have the best.filters for the money.
