SURGE....

What kind of circumstances affect surge? I know on my truck RPM's have a lot to do with it. My truck surges ALOT. Between shifts, and especially rolling into it in OD...
I've also noticed that it's different beween trucks... or maybe tuning... I don't know... Would exhaust/downpipe size affect it?

Re: SURGE....

the WW helped my truck with stock injectors..some say they still get surge when towing up hill heavy..the ATS compressor housing is a better choice but the cost is around $400.

Early 99 7.3 F350 auto,TN T-4 mount with a s467 for air,H-11's stud's SRP 1.1 for oil all supplied by unlimited diesel..beehives, DI push rod's, new alliant 315/200 hybrids,Driven diesel fuel system with a fuel lab 41401. ...tuned by Gearhead..

Re: SURGE....

WW stopped it on my truck completely. In fact I just put it too the test the other day pulling a 8500 poud skid, with a 2500 pound boiler, and a big azz trailer. Had no surge at all even going into overdrive.

Back to stock for now.

Re: SURGE....

When I was running the stocker my truck would surge ALOT unloaded or loaded. I installed the WW, it helped but would still surge towing up a grade. But really wouldnt surge unloaded.
