Edge concerns

About a month ago I purchased an Edge Evolution CTS for my 01 F250. I am more than pleased with it. I run it on Level 2 most of the time (gets the best fuel mileage) but i have noticed that some of my electrical stuff has been acting up. The "door ajar" icon stays lit while driving and the overhead light stays on until it times out and shuts off. Also on occasion the Programmer itself freezes when i go to shut the truck off. Any input on this or expreience with this product? TIA

Re: Edge concerns

I have the CS for gauges and i have had problems with freezing up and one of my gauges does not come up. The tec. guys are trying to figure out how to remedy it and they have replaced my unit twice. They have been trying to fix it for a few months now. They tell me something about the way our older computers communicate with there system?? I like the set up but i'm about ready for a new gauge package with no glitches. I would get some custom tunes also if i were you. I think they can put them on the CTS now...maybe some else can chime in about that.

01' SCSB, 4" exhaust, AFE stage 2 intake, No Limit tunes by Johnathan, Edge insight CS, 6.0 trans cooler, 203 thermostat, SRP 1.1.

Re: Edge concerns

The one programmer for all thing isn't really the greatest idea, I know some tuners dont write tunes for the cs/cts anymore due to issues with the fusion programming or such. I have heard that edge was upgrading their software for these units and were having problems with the upgraded software interfacing with older pcms, but I don't know how common the problem is, IMHO Id say sell the unit and get you a ts 6 pos chip or one of PHP's new hydras, and a set of ISSPRO gauges and carry on.

02 250 CCLB, 6 spd, PHP Phoenix, ISSPROs, AFE/6637 intake, 4" DE straight exhaust, WW, coolant filter with ELC, AIH delete, ebpv delete, bellowed uppies, 4" on 35's and racelines
