Re: resistor mod

No disrespect but I would watch talking about wanting smoke.Guys on here really frown on that subject. They will eat you alive with negative comments.Alot of tuners anymore dont have a smoke tune. Most companies try to make tunes with minimal smoke.Good luck!

Re: resistor mod

since your truck is an automatic i would not do it. as soon as you hit the go pedal your truck takes off like you just floored it. the tranny will heat up alot quiker also. it doesent give you anymore power it just feels like it because your throttle response is extremly touchy. it will also make your tranny shift differently. just save your money and get a custom tuned ts chip dont waste your time on this. an as for smoke goes keep it on the track no one likes a kid in a diesel truck goin around town smokin everybody out. it gives us diesel freaks a bad name

High voltage/high frequency Injection Driver Module - Swamps Diesel Performance
I have no experience with the resistor mod. I have the Swamps IDM in the link above. There's is a bit more to it than the resistor mod. It works well for me. The pedal is a bit touchier but not bad. I like it.
