Modified Hpop and Stock injectors

Ok, i have been trying to decide on what i wanna do. I don't remember the exact numbers but i checked my hpop a while back and i had some low numbers in my higher tunes on my dp tuner. I don't really want bigger injectors, but i was wondering what power u can get from stock injectors and a modified hpop? I don't want a race truck, just a nice daily driver and it be good for towing.

Thanks. Tim

Re: Modified Hpop and Stock injectors

you should gain a small amount of hp, but ...
your motor will pull much stronger, faster, and be more consistent.
you may gain a micro bit of mpg , and your injectors wont peter out at the end of a hard long pull...

least that was my findings with the pulse unit

I loved my truck with the stock injectors and Terminator pumps. Towed awesome with that set-up, all the torque you need with out the egt's.

I'd highly recommend big oil with stock injectors.

Re: Modified Hpop and Stock injectors

I currently run big oil on stock sticks. HP wise you'll see something in the 350 hp range. Just the big oil alone dropped my drag strip times by 8/10ths of a second.

I'll also concur with RockinJW on the power and EGT's. Towing is great with this setup, and EGT's remain under 1200*F in any setting.

Thanks for the replies. I think that is what i will do in the future. What is the most you can see out of stage 1 injectors?

Big oil with stock sticks... do you need any special tune to take advantage of the big oil?

You should have a chip that has tuning for big oil. YOu will get the most out of it that way.

Re: Modified Hpop and Stock injectors

What is better for towing

Big oil with stock injectors and a stock turbo
or
Stock oil, stock turbo and stage 1 single shot injectors

both would be running tonys tunes. It looks like stage 1s are about the same price as the gen3 big oil.
