garrett gtp38r

i was wondering if a garrett gtp38r was a good upgrade for my 02. i have 4" exhaust , afe stage 2 intake and edge juice w/ attitude. all upgrades have been done with economy in mind. new member by the way. i know it's a little late for advice since it's already on but i was just curious. it's hard to tell how it will run as it is colder than crap in illinois right now. all input is appreciated.

It should work well. Are you going to upgrade the tuner?

A chip would be my first upgrade over the juice...

Welcome and yes a 38r would be a great addition to what you have as well as give you room to grow.

Re: garrett gtp38r

Tuners is pick your choice. DP, Swamps, DI, Gearhead, TW, Power Hungry, and others. Everyone has their favorite. I ran DP in my truck, nice tunes and Jody is great to work with. They will give far more power and better drivabilty compared to the edge. The 38r will give you a lot of room to grow and keep economy in mind. It's a proven turbo that's been out for some time.

Re: garrett gtp38r

That turbo is safe with your PMR rods and stock injectors and will light quicker and clean up all the fuel your injectors will give....

Just do a search on tuners on this site. You will find out more than you ever wanted to know. Best advice, call them all, talk to them, pick one. You can't go wrong with any of them.
