disconnecting Juice?

i have a juice and an attitude in the truck i recently purchased and i want that #### out, but getting to look at it, it looks like the juice itself is wired into several different connections. Just curious if anyone has ever disconnected this or knows how without messing anything up? thanks for the help.

Re: disconnecting Juice?

Just disconnect the batteries and unplug the connections.

Re: disconnecting Juice?

They aren't bad, just follow the wires to the plugs and disconnect them and plug the factory connectors back together.

Re: disconnecting Juice?

Like Bruce said everything has plugs but the EGT probe . Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know if the can take the tunes out and use the dash pod for boost and EGTs ? I have it too but don't have money now for all new gauges .

I just asked that same question to a tech @ Edge yesterday because I'm thinking of getting a custom tuned chip for my truck that I'm currently running Edge Juice/Attitude on . I was told by the tech to run the Juice in the stock program and I would be fine using the monitor for my gauges to read boost & EGT's. I've got a 9 year old Juice unit so I think I'm going to upgrade to the CTS Insight & the custom tuned chip.

yes that will work. OP if you remove it just take your time and try not to thrash any of of the factory plugs. I got excited when I took mine out and messed up the pigtail for the CPS. But you can use it for gauges if you want... IDK I feel like even in stock setting it will still manipulate the data. Just my opinion and I am no genius.

Re: disconnecting Juice?

Funny you would say that because Edge confirmed that the old style Juice does still have some effect on the 6.0 even in the stock or 0 setting

That was enough for Me to not use it as gauges

not sure on the 7.3 or the new cst juice

Re: disconnecting Juice?

I have a 2001 7.3 & Edge said it would work fine as a gauge in the stock setting. I've been having some issues with the screen going blank and getting false readings on my EGT's so I figure it's time to get rid of the Juice. I'll go with the CTS Insight along with a new EGT probe & a custom tuned chip for the next go around.
