110V to 140V IDM Mod.. Worth it?
Just picked up a copy of DieselPower and low and behold, there is a quick write-up on changing out the resistor to bump up the IDM
Will the extra 30v really make a noticeable difference?
Is this a safe thing to do by oneself?
I have a friend I might be able to get to help me who has been soldering cicuitry as long as Steve Jobs.
Is this really worth risking shorting out the heart of the beast?
More importantly, is this worth sitting on gravel for 45 minutes fighting with the running boards and fender liner to then reach the IDM
and strain to get to it?
Ummm... Maybe a stupid question.... But where might one find 1/2 watt, 1% tolerance metal film resistors?
