water temp

so i pulled the factory water temp gauge out of my truck and threw in an auto meter. it reads about 210-220 all the time for temp. i threw the factory one back in and it read it was a little below normal on it. Is 210-220 when i should be on the motor or do i have issues?

Re: water temp

I ran at that temp when I had the 203 t-stat. Now with the stock t-stat I run around 200 or just over. That's with the sender in the port right by the t-stat.

Re: water temp

Mine has a stock thermostat and my scangauge reads 210-220 also. Sounded a little high to me but must be normal.
