Re: limiting straps

It brought my 60ft down from 1.8X to 1.6X ....... Rachet Straps Work Good.

Re: limiting straps

how tight do i need to crank them down? and does this just help traction there for the quicker 60 ft time?

Re: limiting straps

I usually strap the front end about an inch or two down. About two or three clicks on the rachets.

My front end use to hop like crazy before this mod......after i did it, it launches so smooth. Worth every penny.

Re: limiting straps

Here is the setup that Muley is using up front. His ratchets are bolted to the frame using a hole already in the ratchet and in the frame. The straps are just long enough to tighten everything up nicely without a bunch of slack. The ratchets are 2" wide handle stainless steel ratchets. Nice piece and easy to crank up and down on. His straps were custom ordered and at a pretty good price.

Re: limiting straps

Those were Muley's first setup. It helped, but only limited the travel, it didn't actually compress the suspension. I'm not sure if he took them off or not, but you don't need those too, just the ratchets.
