Re: Stacks..anyone made their own?

I did 4" stacks on my 96. Mine are outside the bed. I used my old exhaust pipe from the cat back to make my splitter and plumbing the passenger side was easy, the driver was difficult. I had to go forward,in front of the fuel tank, over the driveshaft, then back to the front of the bed. To finish the look, I put heat shelds with red and orange marker lights at the top and bottom of the heat shelds. I think it looks good. On yours, if all your doing is a single stack in the bed, just use flex pipe, a 90 degree elbow, clamps to mount to the frame or bed. Napa auto parts should have everything you need.

People will confuse it with a trash can and throw their McDonalds leftovers in it. It will make a show when you shower down on it.

If you are good with a welder, you should be able to pick up tubing at a big truck repair shop.

There's a point where it just becomes stupid.... Why not weld a 55gal drum to your exhaust instead.

I've been thinking lately about doing a single 6" mitre. Single mitres seem to be the way to go these days- all the cool kids are doing it.
