7.3 Fuel System Mod

Did anyone see this http://powerstrokehelp.com/7.3liter/fuel_mods/1of2.asp 3:00 into the video the guy talks about taking out the plunger in the fuel bowl.

My question has anyone taken out the plunger and the spring in the fuel bowl in the tube the filter attaches to and run their truck. The guy in the video says it is a big restriction and it is only their to stop people from running their trucks without a fuel filter. Is that really all it does or do you need it for something. Is mod ok to do or is this guy a dumass? If you did it did you get more power?

2000 F250 Ext Cab 7.3 PSD DP Tuner tuned my me, Banks power pack, air raid intake, overboost annihilator, 6 in lift on 35s

If you still have the stock fuel system in place you have much bigger restrictions than the bowl.
That said, that bowl setup will easily allow enough fuel too pass to make 800+rwhp.
