Stack Opinion

I have a single 5" mitre cut that was initally about 4 inches above the cab and is now about 6 inches below the cab.

I love the way it looks low like that but it's covering the whole back window in soot. Also everytime it rains or gets washed it blows soot all over the bed. After pulling season I am contemplating going back to a standard exhaust or installing a bull hauler style single pointed straight back, or maybe an aussie. IDK...

What do ya'll think?

Did you have the same problem before you shortened it?

Re: Stack Opinion

Soot spots with an uncovered stack will always be a problem. If water gets into the stack you are going to spew soot water. The curved or Aussie cut stack is going to direct that away from your window but the back of the bed will still get hammered.

Just put it at about cab height and put the old redneck flapper on it!

Re: Stack Opinion

No flapper going on this!

Also - when it was above the cab I would get soot spots on the roof and all over the bed.

Re: Stack Opinion

Here's how it looked before I shortened it.

Here's what it would look like with a bull hauler.

Looking for a turnout to photochop

Re: Stack Opinion

just get covers for it when your not using it. What about cleaning the inside of the stack out? I don't know if it works but would probably make less sootwater. Turnout would look like chit.
