DP Tuner F5

Is it still worth buying the DP tuner F5 chip, or should i just wait a while loand get the F6? I would be waiting because of fund$. I cant quite afford to spend over $600 for the chip, remote, and 2-3 tunes just yet. But the F5 with the same set-up would be $200 less, so i could probably get that in a month or 2. I know im a lame broke @$$ but yea. My other issue is that i do later plan on getting a garret bb turbo and some slightly bigger injectors, still moderatly small though, i think 190's or smaller as i cruise my truck around town and on trips. Im still new to the modding game and thirsty for knowledge, but with chips from what iv heard DP is about the only way to go!

Yes you would have to get tunes that are for your PCM strategy. You would also have to change them when you add injectors.

Re: DP Tuner F5

FWIW, the old pos chips us poor-asses still use are less than 200 bucks brand new and they even come with the crappy old rotary switches.

For someone budjet minded, I don't see how that wouldn't be appealing.

I have been running the same chip for 6 or 7 years now. Although I did have to replace the switch a few months ago. It was 25 bucks. Pricey, I know.

And the rotary switch, gives positive feedback on exactly where it is. Sorta like analog gauges vs. digital.
