overboost?

friends truck '00, and has a BRV+ from Dieselste. same as on my truck.
I see 32# often and no CEL. are some trucks MAP sensors a little more sensitve than others? he was at 26# and cel light came on and boost dropped to 15#, after a bit light went out. PO238 code was what he pulled.

He needs to check and lube his BRV. Sometimes they stick and wont relieve corrctly. Little WD 40 works great. Mine hits 50 psi with no light.
Tell him spray it, and work it some then respray.

Re: overboost?

no

it does say dieselsite on it doesn't it
there were copies that didn't work so well.

also double check it is installed right , and that he is getting
an overboost code and not a hpop check engine light .
maxing out a stock hpop for 7 sec or so will set a different code.
(not knowing what the PO238 is off the top of my head)

Have a diesel site boost relief valve & doesn't work half the time. Go's into de-fuel. Any ideas?
