A1000 vs Walbro

How close is the walbro to the a1000 in terms of flow? Could it support 355cc hybrids? I know the A1000 flows 600lbs/hr and the Walbro flows 50-55 GPH but cant find a conversion formula

Re: A1000 vs Walbro

Doesn't diesel fuel weigh something like 7ish lbs per gallon?

The main thing is..... the A-1000 moves WAY more fuel than you will burn, by like twice over or more, and won't last.

Decision over. If it's between those two, pick the Walbro.

So that walbro pump will support 355cc hybrids?

I already have the walbro on the truck i'm just curious if i'm going to have to change pumps if i change injectors

Re: A1000 vs Walbro

I don't think you'll ever consume 50gph. JMO.

Change the injectors, then see how the pump does.

I think there is a small handful of guys running that size injectors with the Walbro, and I don't remember seeing anyone say that it couldn't keep up.

Re: A1000 vs Walbro

My pump moves a documented 50gph.

I don't have fuel delivery issues, as I doubt I'm actually using more than 30 at most.

I have to scratch my head when I see these people running 180gph pumps and such. I mean what the fuk?

Re: A1000 vs Walbro

yeah but the big pumps drop flow pretty quick at higher pressures but I agree with you Charles..... what does the flow curve on the Walbro look like?
