Unhappy i HAVE a PROBLEM WITH A BULLY DOG CHIP

I got s 4 bank 6 position chip for my 99.5 7.3l with a zf 6 speed. i only got the chip it had no switch so i ordered a switch. then i installed the switch.
my truck will only start if the switch is all the way to the left position. if you turn it right the truck will not respond

Re: i HAVE a PROBLEM WITH A BULLY DOG CHIP

If I had to wager a guess, since it didn't come with a switch, it doesn't even have programs written to the other 3 positions. With no switch attached it will always default to position 1 (left on your switch) which seems to be the only position with a file on it.

Whats wrong with the bully dog chips? I have one on my truck and i've had it burnt several different times from when it was "stock" and i have been really happy with it from the beginning until now. I agree with charles though, i had the same problem from being over eager, we had the programs on the computer and we thought we burnt them to the chip and lol whoops we didnt and i had the same problem, no start, except in position 1, one way to fix your problem is to go to the bullydog website and look for a distributer in your area or shop, tell them your situation and they'll be able to fix ya up with burning the chip with programs or just simply exchange it, they're really good with backing up they're products.

Tony Wildman will reburn it. He reburnt mine, the shifts are way better. My trans used to shutter under WOT with the bully dog and water meth, but now my truck just grabs its ass and leaves.
