Just an opinion here..........But that tune option has to be the dumbest thing since Jobe intercoolers!!!!!

I don't blame DP for selling it..hell, alot of guys want it.......why?

Not to mention it's gotta be a little hard on the motor.

Ya, it's definitely not good for the engine.

Re: dp-tuner lomp idle?

I agree. Lope and Smoke tunes serve no purpose...but we get asked for them quite often.

The problem with the lope file is that there are just some trucks that won't do it, at least not without live tuning. Jody isn't sure why, he'll take programs that lope great in one truck and put them in another truck with the same setup and they won't lope in the second truck.

Re: dp-tuner lomp idle?

i got a wildman 6 pos. and my "smoke" mode has the best low end and midrange and seems to have more nuts than my "street race" setting and it does not seem to overfuel like i thought it would. so what is pointless about the setting?

Re: dp-tuner lomp idle?

Just take a toggle switch and wire it inline with the center wire on your UVC plug on either driver's or passenger's sides.

When you want the truck to lope (aka run like sh*t) just flip the switch.

Instant lope.
