turbos

I have been looking at getting a new turbo. I was wondering what the flow differences are between a 38r and an h2e turbo. I know that the 38r will spool faster but I like the idea of being able to upgrade the h2e later if I need to. I don't have plans to modify the truck more, but you never know.

99 F350 4x4 175-143 injectors. Custom tuning done by DP-tunner, BTS tranny, Garrett 38r, coated up-pipes and exhaust housing. 6.0 intercooler from BWD, 4 inch turbo back exhaust and 4.10 gears. Truck put down 396 hp when tuned by dp-tunner.

38r outflows the stock H2e, but the modded H2e outflows the 38r.

Only problem with the H2e kits is the T-4i exhaust flange... Limits you to Holset exhast flanges... Unless you mod them. And I have not seen that done in person.

Re: turbos

If your pretty sure this will be the extent of your modding the 38r would be your best bet.
