GT 47

I notice you can get these cheap.

I didn't say GT 47R so I know it's not the ball bearing version.

Still, would this work well in a twin setup?

Re: GT 47

It'll work fine. Same turbo as the R just with a different cartridge.

Re: GT 47

Has anyone ever run a GT47 in a compound setup that you know of?

Re: GT 47

Let me clarify so my friend Charles isn't so butt hurt.

I thought he was running the GT 47R, which is the ball bearing version.

My question was about the GT 47 (non ball bearing) and how well it would work, and what the differences are.

I have since found out C man is running the NON ball bearing unit, GT 47-88 to be exact, so I should then refer myself back to his original info on this setup.

Re: GT 47

I'm in the parts gathering stage. The Stand-Alone tranny controller stands a good chance of coming in today though.

I'm still deciding where I'm going to get the tranny. A BTS would be nice, but I'm just one of those guys that can't part with over four THOUSAND American dollars for a transmission.

I could F up a lot of trannys before I made that total.

And I just might have to before I give in, lol.

There's a buddy of mine that lives about 45 min from my house that would build me one. He makes okay power with his 12v trucks. I just might have to let him do it.
