max horsepower

i would like to find out what the max horsepower my new engine will hold its a 1997 motor fully balanced new pistons, rods, main studs, headstuds, fuel system 275cc hybrid injectors 72 mm turbo chromoly pushrods comp cams valve springs

6,7,800 ? No one knows..these things are hard to figure. Some live at 6-700 all day long while others can't hold their oil at 4-500. You should be good to go at 5-600 without much worry.

There is always the exception to the rule. However it's generally excepted that 500hp give or take a few is the most you want to run on stock forged rods. There are plenty of broken rods to support that theory. Exact engine build, use and tuning will vary the numbers a bit.

There are more than 3 members here running 500hp or more on forged factory rods, and they all run tuning from the same injector building shop. Food for thought. Sometimes it's all in the tunes.
