PMT 1 or PMT 2 ??

witch is best for trans shift in my early 99?? i want the early tc lock while haveing a good shift

Early 99 7.3 F350 auto,TN T-4 mount with a s467 for air,H-11's stud's SRP 1.1 for oil all supplied by unlimited diesel..beehives, DI push rod's, new alliant 315/200 hybrids,Driven diesel fuel system with a fuel lab 41401. ...tuned by Gearhead..

PMT1....but unless you can actually PUT a PMT1 in your Early 99 is the question. PMT2 sucks because of the full-throttle lockup and 4-3 downshift unlock/lock sequence.

ok thanks..yes as long as they are dpc-422 it will work in the early 99..i thought PMT1 was better but wasnt sure...putting in new SS and want to up grade the PCM at the same time..i got send my DP tuner back any ways...

Oh, so you're changing the PCM. THAT will work then (with the 422).

Oh, and in all honesty, I don't think that Jody would burn you a chip with PMT2 (or any other base file) on it unless you specifically asked for it...just because the transmission strategies on every other code out there are inferior (I only say that because I've worked with about 7 other bases.....and they all suck.)

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but as long as it says DPC-422 it doesn't matter if its PMT 1 or 2. It will end up with the same tuning after a chip is installed if its PMT 1 or 2, it just how it will act without a chip.

good question.. it wont matter what it acts like with out a chip...ill have single shots in it any ways..from what i under stand..one is easer to program over the other..i have an email into Jody..guess ill have to wait till tuesday..

More thoughts, it would not matter if its a NVK either correct? Since it still the same family code, it can be written like the PMT?

from what i know any one of these from this list will work in the early 99..it has to be a DPC-422...as far as tuning..im not sure if there is a differance or not..
