Cab Off For New Mods w/ pics

Got some more stuff for the truck; 355cc hybrids, BFH 76mm turbo, arp head studs, comp 910's, hardened pushrods.

Decided to lift the cab for everything.....mainly for the studs and valvesprings. The cab on a 7.3 is cake compared to the 6.0. It really wasnt that bad. We had the cab lifted off the frame in a little over a hour. Already had the injectors pulled out before we started so it made it a little easier. We started kinda late so all we did was install the turbo. Studs, springs, injectors, PR's will go in tommorow.

Here are some pics.

Special Thanks to Twisted Diesel for letting me use there shop, tools, and expertise. Those guys are great. Also would like to thank Swamps Diesel for there awesome products.

I'll post some more pics and possibly a vid tommorow

Ive got a 76mm S400 sitting here that's going back in with the new motor, youre going to like it. Just based on the sound of it at 5-10psi, it sounds like it moves a s-load of air, just the tone of it. Wait till it hits 60psi and you're off. Good luck with that bottom end.

Are the injectors stock on the oil side, or are they modified?

With my tunes, the bottom end should last a while

Not sure on injectors....whatever swamps does to there stuff. Oil side was prolly left alone...all i know is they flowed a little more than 355cc with some big azz nozzles.

Re: Cab Off For New Mods w/ pics

It should last a while, but not forever. If you are keeping a 7.3 if/when it goes, now would be a good time to start squirreling away some money and jump on a good deal on a set of aftermarket rods and a girdle

Re: Cab Off For New Mods w/ pics

Well, much easier with that lift I bet. HOW would you go about lifting the cab if you didn't have one of those? MANPOWER? Then what, set it on heavy saw horses so the IC and RAD won't get tore up? Just wondering, sure looks like it makes the work a piece of cake after it's off!

Re: Cab Off For New Mods w/ pics

I wouldnt do it unless you had a post lift. The cabs are just to heavy to lift like that. But yes, its cake once the cabs off.......just like working on an engine on a stand.
