Which CPS?

I am currently running the gray cps not sure of the part number. I've seen were it is not the best for reasons like hard starts. I am not sure what else is available. I have noticed it not starting as well on cooler mornings. What are you guys having the best luke with? I would like to make the gray one my backup.

Thanks
Ted

Re: Which CPS?

DP tuner sells black CPS, I run black ones because I have three good working ones now. Fords can keep the gray one until they come out with something better, in which case I have a "bad" cps they can have, which consists of one with just a broken connector(thanks cat reb).

I picked a black CPS up from NAPA for around $30.

Re: Which CPS?

Maybe its hit and miss then. I'm going on 3 months now and no problems.

I'm not sure of the part number. I just asked for a black CPS for a 7.3 Powerstroke.

Is it the shape of the old black CPS or is it shaped like the new ones except it's black?? Because you can get a black one from Ford, but it is similar to the gray ones. The only difference is the contacts are different for the older trucks
