DI Chip?

will a chip (DI) burned for a 2000 auto with hybrids work in a 2001 auto with the same injectors? I need to know, sale pending...

Re: DI Chip?

Yes it will. NVK will work on PMT and reverse... I like the shifting of PMT, but NVK puts out more power from what I have seen.

What, you just blew my mind what are the these things you speak of? PMT and NVK?

Thanks Joe.

Re: DI Chip?

I'm curious if any of that even matters on a 4 bank chip. The PCM should be reading straight off the chip for the entire 224kb right? So why does it matter what cache code is burned onto the memory in the PCM?

Shouldn't I be able to put my manual tranny DAC3 chip in say a 2000 automatic truck and it fire right up and it just not shift when I took off? Seems like as long as they are both manual trucks, or both auto trucks and you're using a 4 bank chip you should be able to run any chip you choose in any truck.

What am I missing? Was there some major hardware change in the PCMs on the 7.3L superduties somewhere along the way?

WOOHOO... I know something charles doesnt!!!

Early 99 PCM's are differant from the 99.5-2001 PCM's... Most times a chip will work from one to the other, but there are some weird lights (AIH not being there for one)...

But the 2002 and 2003 PCM's are differant and will not accept a chip programed for the older trucks.
