Re: Mbrp vs stock exaust

the 4" will have more of a drone in the cab. if you do a lot of highway driving, you probably wont like it. i started by cutting my mufler off. then did a 4" straight pipe, then put a magnaflo muff on it to kill the drone. dont think you will notice much HP difference with any setup if you have already removed stock muffler.

Re: Mbrp vs stock exaust

I have a 4 inch Flo Pro exhaust that I will be adding soon as it gets warm out on my CCLB dually. I have the system that has a muffler and cat delete.I have been told by a few if you get that drone to poke out the cat and reinstall it sorta like a resonator. Was going to sell my cat,but they only are about 27 bucks so I may just keep it till I see how droning I may get.I am hoping since I have a muffler,it wont have any though.

Re: Mbrp vs stock exaust

i had a stock exhaust on my truck, did a 4'' turbo back with no muffler and i love it probably my fav mod so far, i want it louder now....drone on the freeway isnt bad, turn the music up a bit and u cant hear it...my tires are louder inside the cab then my exhaust i find(at highway speeds), but my whole truck is dynamated so that probably helps with road noise, exhaust etc..

Re: Mbrp vs stock exaust

Just get the whole system, 4 inch downpipe and muffler delete system, its really a small difference in price and you'll have a complete full flowing exhaust system. And also, the MBRP mufflers are full flowing so there isn't reaaly a big difference in sound with or without a muffler.

Re: Mbrp vs stock exaust

theres not a big difference outside the truck at all. where i noticed the difference witht he muff was in the cab. def helped kill the drone for me. and no power loss. up to the individual though on whether on not they mind the drone. if i was doing another one, i would just get a 4" kit with muffler and be done. still sounds wicked outside the truck
