need some help.

I've got an early 99 7.3 .
And it needs a new turbo.. I'm not sure what I should do. As putting a new early 99 turbo on or a late 99 conversion kit. Which way is worth it

depends on what your going to do with it? a beans d66 is a great turbo and is capable of close to 500hp. its also a drop in turbo.

Re: need some help.

x2-- you really need to answer the other mod questions first. If you cant, just rebuild the stocker. The D66 would be a good choice but could be laggy with stock injectors.

Re: need some help.

I mainly pull car/race car to the track/ horses/ and hay lol.

I'm not looking to make huge amounts of power. Just a good running truck..
It was strong just has a boost leak..

if you were happy with the power from the stocker, keep it stock. if you want a lil more, the D66 is the only drop in that i kow of for our E99s. i went T4 so i would have options, but i dont pull trailers all that much and was lookin for power. going to newer model stock turbo would be a waste imo. lots of work for little gain.

Re: need some help.

So I was recently informed that 7.3 kinda had an issue with bolts backing out on the Turbo. I have discovered that I was missing at least the top to bolt..

My question is should I still replace the turbo or just pull and replace all bolts and possibly rebuild while its out
