Mount a toggle switch to your dash, ground one end of it. Run the other wire through the firewall and splice it into the wire on the diagram from guzzle's. I think it is purple/orange but I can't remember.

Done.

Re: 4r100 converter lock up switch ??

there is a 12 pin connector on the passenger side of the tranny. the pin #4 has a purple wire with a yellow strip. this is the signal wire for the converter to lock up run a jumper from that wire to a switch from the switch to a ground and there ya go. i done it to mine and it works flawlessly. just rember to unlock it when you go to stop or u will kill your truck and possibly break something or rear end someone. remember not to cut the wire completly in half just peel back some of the insulation and just put a splicer on it

You can save fuel. And you can drive on the highways a lot easier to when hauling pulling mountains no shiftng unless you have to. No shifting in an out of od when u are on the interstate and some dumbas flies by you and cuts you off then slows down then u have o slow down and hit brakes and shiftes out of od. And your tranny will run cooler

I use mine when pulling a camper on a dirt road from 5000ft to 8000ft at speeds of 25-30mph. In most cases you are in 2nd gear but with the tc unlocked and that builds more heat than if the tc was locked up. The TC locks based on speed. In some cases when towing 45mph or so, it will lock and unlock which isn't good either so just lock it up and make it stay locked to prevent more heat.

Doesn't help any on the open road/highway. The TC is locked up anyway. Many people confuse the TC with overdrive. Just because you kick the overdrive off on the highway, you aren't unlocking the TC thankfully or you would really create some heat.
