It wont hurt anything, but you wont feel a substantial power increase

Removed the red line from wastegate solenoid - Power Hungry Performance Forum

Who is running a Turbo Master waste gate controller? - Page 2 - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums..

be ware without a chip or tunes you will not push high boost levels..
and that the pcm will defuel you at about 23lb unless the tunes ignore it or you have a boost fooler.

but get yourself a golf tee and try it if you like.
i have never messed with mine.

Early 99 f350 4x4 crew cab, auto. pmt2 pcm
2001 cup holder ,T500, MAX AC ASSIST AC mod, Diy Twin tymar, TS chip, Powerslots & Hawk pads, ford AIC, ..... with big fat want to list.

Do i need a boost fooler? I plan on putting an upgrade compresser wheel. Does anyone know where i can get a bigger compresser wheel that i can use the stock turbo housing?

Re: turbo wastegate line

Exactly what it says, more fuel either by tunin or bigger injectors. Fuel and air supplement each other but fuel is where it starts,

Re: turbo wastegate line

If you have an early 99, you already have the WW(original). When I originally added the WW to my 2000, I lost 1-2lbs. boost by unplugging the red line to the wastegate.

Unplug it, see what happens.
