Wicked Wheel II Beta Test results....

Hi everyone,
Had the beta Wicked Wheel II sitting in my living room...then had a business trip, weekend trip etc etc.

Woke up this morning and it was nice out and decided to install.

I already have a Turbomaster Wastegate and an ATS Ported housing so have the correct tools. Also have a PHP 65 HP Tow program.

Less than three hours later I had put the tools away and fired up the truck for a test drive.

The new wheel is a little louder than the stock wheel. On the hiway it is barely noticeable.

Now power. Holy crap. I really felt the difference, especially in 3rd gear. It just kept pulling. It also cleared up the smoke i had from the tow program. I had a ear to ear grin on my face. Was really suprised on the amount of power it added and the acceleration that was added.

I cant wait for this weekend, when I will have the horsetrailer and have to go up Cajon Pass with about 8000 lbs worth of gooseneck horse trailer.

All I can say is i have done a lot of small upgrades on my truck for power and towing. The PHP 65 horsepower tow program was the best for power. This has to be #2 and is very impressive. I also really liked the Turbomaster wastegate controller. I was helpful.

For towing and driveability I really love, my SP diesel exaust brake controller, my short shifter from midwest transmissions, the 6 liter intercooler and new boots and my frozen rotors and my upgraded brake pads.

I have to say for the price this wheel is a no brainer power adder. I thought I was done with upgrades, but this provides seat of the pants power for a reasonable price and pretty easy install.

Terrye.

How are is your boost and egts at 45 and 70 mph.

My cruising boost dropped by 2 psi and egts dropped by 80 deg. in OD with cruise control on.
And ya, this thing is plenty loud. Spools noticably quicker and Seems to pull harder from 1500 to 2800 rpm in Beans DD tune.
I too have the ported compressor, stock ex. housing with high flow outlet and 4" dp.
Also using a 6.0 i/c

Let us know how the towing went. I tow a lot, so I'm curious as to how it performed with a load. Was the turbo laggy on take off or did it spool instantly? I haven't seen any feedback for towing. Hope it performed to expectation.

No lag on my set up. So far i like it, the sound will take some getting used to, as it really wakes up at 2000 rpm.

Re: Wicked Wheel II Beta Test results....

1500 to 2500 is the loudest for me, the sound changes around 2500 and gets a little softer, its a different whistle all together beyond 2500.

I did notice a crisper exhaust note 1500 to 2500rpm as well
